Unique commode
Pieces of furniture appearing in our showroom are special and unique. But some of them deserve special attention, such as this, coming to form Germany, bookshelf being a perfect example of the great design of the 50s. Teak wood, combined with glass sliding fronts and typical for that period, oblique legs, is giving to it a remarkable lightness. Two drawers are making this piece even more functional, which will make good use as a bookcase in the study as well as a display case in the dining room. The bookshelf has been made in german workshops Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau based in Dresden, which is proved by the label placed on the back of the furniture. Those workshops were focused on interior design along with designing furniture. The archives of the company are legally protected because the collections have been recognized as a valuable cultural good.
